Lucky the man whose car speeds up the aimless high-way
And find no humps, nor holes, nor traffic aides along the way.
Lucky he who drives a car, though with a passenger beside,
And find no accidents, like love along the way, seeking a ride.

Sinead O’ Connor - Nothing compares to you

I really should start blogging again….

And this is pathetic. Prodding myself to start blogging again by blogging. Hopefully, Rene can jumpstart this writing streak again. He’s given me a “curriculum”, a homework. He’s making me watch films he has chosen that could inspire me to write again. Tonight, I watched “The Legend of 1900.” I find it very, for want of a better term, poetic.

There’s something about the sound of a piano.. makes me wish that I took my piano lessons seriously when I was still a kid.

Regrets? Regrets are for poets, said one character in a sit-com in the late 80s.

Honored to be called a poet.

Char!

Big Mountain - Only One (Big Mountain)

Was at SM Fairview Annex on Father’s Day. Met my dad and mommy there and left them just as quickly when Ma had to go to the supermarket and I had to get my haircut.

After my haircut, saw this booth. Really thought it was a trademark or a clever play on words, like caricature using charcoal, perhaps?

Just finished watching five powerpoint presentations for a contest at work. Will have a difficult time judging the entries. We’ll be announcing the winners very soon! That’s Php7,000.00 in cold cash!

Gloom

Art Garfunkel - Disney Girls

Finally decided to create another blog. It’s embarrasing to continue the other one as it’s old and there isn’t anything new on it. Might as well create another one. Start with a clean slate. I will continue my practice of putting music on each posts. Gone will be the poems, though. There are no new ones after all.

Lately, I have been listening to Art Garfunkel’s Disney Girls, a “hauntingly” melancholic melody with an ironically optimistic lyrics. I have been gloomy the past couple of weeks. Thanks to an “Idol”, the word “gloomy” defined how I am feeling. So I keep myself busy. With coffee, most of the time. Haha!

I will be watching Reymond Sajor’s World Vision concert on the 27th of June at the Music Musuem. I’m all excited about it. What’s nice about it is,.. the artist himself. I have been “chatting” with him at Facebook. And yes, he’s the “Idol” who defined my state - gloomy. Don’t ask me why I am gloomy, I’m probably over-reacting over things. But one time, when we were chatting, he suddenly asked why I sounded gloomy. I wasn’t (or I was, probably). All I was doing was just say, “yup”, “ok” or short answers to his questions. He’s after all a busy man, an “Idol”, so why would I keep him from doing his thing by posting long replies.

So that’s when he said I “sounded gloomy.”

But yes, Disney Girls is keeping me gloomy. Probably time to find another song to LSS on!
